DESIGN
PRINCIPLE
The AJP
/ AMJP / AJPM series of Jet Centrifugal Pumps are suitable
for suction from Deep Wells. Closed type Centrifugal Impellars and
a Venturi Jet System ensure satisfactory performance with a Self
- Priming characteristics. The Venturi System is a special accessory
connected at the lower end with a two pipe system interconnecting the
delivery and suction pipes. At the first start water is filled in the
suction pipe. Thereafter, as the pump operates the output water is partly
recirculated through the Venturi Jet System creating a vaccum and in
turn increasing the pressure. This principle results in a two - fold
benefit - 'Pumping from deep wells' as also 'Self Priming'. These pumps
are practically unaffected by the presence of large amounts of entrained
air in the water being pumped.
PUMP
APPLICATION AND INSTALLATION
Jet Centrifugal Pumps can perform at various suction lifts. AJP
/ AJPM / AMJP series Pumps can be selected based on the requirements
as shown in the performance charts. All pumps are suitable for pumping
clean & clear water, not containing abrasive particles aggressive to
the pump components, from a minimum bore well size of 100 mm (4").
Common applications are marginal farming / orchards / residential buildings
/ bunglows / hotels / hospitals / clubs / lawn sprinklers / car - washing
/ boosting water supply for high pressure pumping application / water
circulation.
These pumps are easy to install and can be placed at ground level directly
over bore-wells and require minimum floor space. The pumps must preferably
be installed in a covered area protected against weather and
can be mounted horizontally or vertically as recommended
in the installation
diagram. These pumpsets are strictly not to be run in dry condition
even for testing purpose since it will damage the mechanical seal provided
for protection against leakage & ingress of water into the motor.
